Sam,

On AOL numbers....Revenue growth and subscriber growth may be viewed as disappointing which could be more important than the EPS...at least for tomorrow.

Best Regards,
Jim

Disclosure: I hold no position in AOL, long or short

*OT* Thanks Sam...interesting period here....IDC/Dataquest numbers come out next week at the latest (possibly even this Friday) for Q2...should give us a better handle on Q2...if Dell holds 40/41 (like you say), and the number suggest a .18 EPS quarter, we should be in good stead....18 would be a monster quarter, IMO, a solid .17 more likely...

We are now in the 2nd half of the quarter...less chance of Dell tanking (like in 1Q)...still can happen, but usually not as severe and with less frequency..

How 'bout my EMC...What a marvelous quarter (50% + earnings growth, INCREASING margins, and CEO said revenues will increase (!) going forward, and (essentially) no Y2K effect)...nothing to hold it from 70 in short order, IMO..

BTW- R.Williams, Dell Investor Relations, told us that Dell expects calender 2000 to be "outstanding"... with Intel/Microsoft launches..
