That Charter has about 6.2 million subscribers, which, of course, reaches more than that. Knowing PA, he said they were agressively upgradiang, and expected a GNET cable portal by 1st quarter next year.
As a Charter subscriber, when I got my cable modem a few weeks ago, I asked when the upgrade would arrive (sales staff have a a stock reply of within a year). Installer said it would be sooner. Two weeks ago, I received a notice that Charter would be in the area, in yards, adding upgraded cable. That was quick. They are doing it area by area. When one is completed, they roll it out, and move on; for instance, in my town, one area might be completed before another, but they do not wait until the entire town is complete before rolling out.
