I don't believe Sun has ever had any bond offerings.
Sometime back they did a ''shelf'' registration for
$4 billion. That's kind of a warning of what they might
do. It looks like they have decided to exercise 25% of
that registration. I don't necessarily believe an
acquisition is right around the corner. They may be doing
this on anticipation of acquiring somebody 6-9 months
from now and are worried interest rates will be higher
then. OTOH they may announce their target company at
the conference call tomorrow. Only they know.
