Rich, I saw your post, but the reason for corporate heavy buying during the fourth quarter is not tied up to the Christmas festivities, it has its own cycle in manager making sure they use all the money allocated in their budgets (or lose these), thus even corporation have a bulge of buying in the fourth quarter. Just historical precedence I have observed in many "Business to Business" selling cycles.

I have not watched this relative to cell phones, but maybe someone can compare Nokia's and Motorola's revenues in the fourth quarter relative to other quarters.
