what is the distinction that you are looking for? If they include in the chart only the day range of market trading it is a loss. If they include the ipo price it is a gain. You have all the facts down, isn't it mere semantics whether one charts it as a gain or a loss?

Cobi,

If I would have got that one, I would have flipped it anywhere soon as it opened (92.00) in the aftermarket and been as happy as a clam.. The after market for these IPO's, IMO, is nuts.. I would have viewed it as big gain.. It's all relative depending on where you get in.
I sometimes play the "fools game", like earlier this month when we had a nice up market.. but NOT now, especially, this week because the underwriters are choking us with IPOs and the last few days, I have been on a sell signal and perceived a sloppy market.

Thats the way I see, hope it helps.........Coug
