++good (OT again) maybe you're right about gold. I work for a geoscience consulting company, and the majority of our business has always involved exploring for new gold deposits. This has been true right up until this year, when gold exploration seemed to dry up completely. We've been forced to scramble for base metals and petroleum business in order to survive. If exploration has stopped this year, I guess that means the supply will start getting tighter and eventually affect the gold price. This will take years to take full effect, but presumably the stock market will turn around sooner than that in anticipation.

Double, OT

I have just recently started looking at selected gold stocks. thus far I like the looks of PDG (Placer Dome). Do you have any historical insight or current thoughts concerning Placer. they appear to be at a near term and possibly yearly bottom with reasonable (25%) upside.

TIA,
