Peter, you will find that analysts are now more than ever relying on the companies themselves for forward looking information. Why would you waste any time at all trying to put a valuation on HGSI if internet type hype visits it or any other biotech stock? Now wouldn't you just hate it if there was huge amounts of short term money to be made?<g>

<<. Right now, I'm imitating one of Rick's "stuck in the headlights" characters and doing nothing (which feels wrong, too).>>

The dumbest investments I have made were when I was ambivilent about a stock. My advice is if you don't feel strongly in one direction stand on the sidelines. As for HGSI I believe they are overvalued relative to their peers. I still would not short it-----YET

Peter,

<<long rather than short>>

In this market, you've nailed it. But, you don't have to be either. And if the biotech market dips, it may pay to take advantage of hype deflation.
