The 'last minute' addition of 900 000 shares to the offering
added just over a $1 billion to the warchest.

Management clearly have something specific in mind, costing $1billion+.
A take over perhaps? COMS Palm division perhaps?

Any speculation as to why Management upped the ante from 4 million to 6.9 million so late in the day?

Ramsey hi- like the Title--$1.079 billion to be precise but who cares a few $100 million, I still feel Brazil could be much bigger than they think imho as it has no competition it's nearly all cdma, so i hope qcom spends some $$ cash down there and $1 = R$1.75 at the moment!
If you have ever been to Italy every one and his dog has a phone even 10 year old kids! Brazilians are the same nearly as Italians your not cool if you don't have a cell phone,
pre paid has been booming lately in europe i.e u pick up a phone when u pick up your shopping, all ready to use no bills no contracts and you can top your minutes up at banks or by phone or by credit card,
Regards
Bruce
