Marvin
Where is the bad news? That article in MSNBC link is repeat of
same old arguments and there is nothing new. They need a reason to pull down the stock. They cannot find any. They have been harping on this "lack of broadband strategy" since ATT bought cable companies.
Is there anything new?
Now they will have one more scare tactics "free access" cloud.

Even these storms will pass away and the ship will keep sailing.

Re:Bad news for AOL

Marvin, IMO, this guy Zaret decided to write an article on AOL raising questions about any possible thing he could. This way he has an opening for another article 2-3 months down the road when he has writers block and no fresh ideas. The headline of the article will probably read "AOL Future Still in Question." or "AOL Future Looking Brighter." Yes, it's always in question even if there future looks rosy. This guy probably wrote the article a day ago not knowing about AOL/AMERITECH. AOL/AMERITECH isn't that huge, but it is definitely a positive step in the right direction for AOL. In the internet world a day ago in most cases is too late.

Marvin Mansky, do you know how long it will take AT&T/Excite/ATHM to
finish appealing all the negative ( against them ) court decisions regarding broadband? they are appealing in Portland and Florida. Soon it will be in every city.
The last time I looked at lawsuits, you had time to develop cancer and a heart attack by the time they went through. Do you know perhaps of a quicker way that we don't know?
I would not be holding mu breath that AT&T's broadband strategy will be implemented anytime soon. Meanwhile AOL will smoke their bacon.
Trust me on this , <VBG>,

PS I am now an expert witness on a lawsuit that was started
in........1995..... Nobody has any idea when it will end.

Marvin, regarding high speed internet access. I cannot help but believe that AOL, with all of its clout, will favorably resolve the high speed internet access issue, whether that access be by phone lines, cable, satellite, microwave, or a combination of those routes. I simply do not see this as a major problem. The real issue, in my mind, is which way will be most profitable for AOL.
