It will probably say that these are preliminary numbers; at the end of a quarter when many companies are in their quiet period or too busy doing the quarterly report to get some BTB data to the auditor by the cutoff date.

The final numbers 2 months from now will give you a better picture of whether or not there's missing data or a true decline in orders of less than 1%. My guess is that orders will be seen to have continued their climb.

In fact that may become obvious with next month's revision.

I guess the answer is, Mr. Market didn't care much for the BTB.
