Re "Master of Obfuscation" -- Yes, yes I am. No insult intended. I might say shark have sharp teeth -- not an insult, just a fact. Shame on me. I know better but I have made assumptions. What the heck -- it's only the internet, for God's sake. I assume that you are or have been a print reporter. I assume you have been around the block (perhaps more than once -- hmmm, could THAT be an insult?). I assume you have held posts of responsibility, if not notoriety. I assume that you have a "liberal" (whatever that really means?) bias and/or an anti-authority bias (what reporter doesn't?). I assume that you know how to write in a way that leaves a specific message with a reader -- but should someone object, you can point to your actual words and say, "See, that's not what I actually said." I know (not assume) that I have raised several issues in this exchange and that you have not addressed any of them. Fair enough -- with the right face, there may even be TV money in your future. Should you care to know -- I have been around the block a number of times myself. Enough to know conversations like this properly take place in small drab bars that stay open until everyone decides to go home (ha ha on the "home"). In the best cases, at least two contributors are clearly drunk and there is one person getting hammered so badly that they eventually want to fight someone. Time for bed by the shore of the mighty Atlantic (you left coast people can carry on). The last word, Joan, is yours.
