I know you didn't ask but here's my opinion..

Managment has to balance everyones' interests, the company itself, shareholders, bondholders.

Seems to me "our" interests have been more than taken care of, I mean what more should Dr J et al be doing for us? Don't you all think we've made enough money for the time being? Some of you sound like spoiled ingrates.

AS others have said more eloquently, the company NEEDS the money. We are only just finding out how costly it's been getting this far. This cash will go towards capitalizing on what's been put in place. Even though I've been quite skeptical of Qs handset intentions, it seems pretty clear that if Q is going to make a go of it they can't do it without increasing production.I assume everyone noticed that there has been ZERO growth in handset production in quite a while. This is where the next big boost HAS to come from. Margin expansion can't go on forever. There has to be a way to pay for it. Nobody complained about all those employee incentive options that were doled out liberally in the past that have now vested. What's different about this?

Those of of you out there who just bought shares should be patient.
