Paul V,

In 7/97, with BTBs of 1.07 and 1.09 (for 6/97 and 5/97 respectively) to work on --- the Workers were able to reach 95.

Now, with 7 trading days left for the month and with BTBs of 1.24 and 1.25 (for 6/99 and 5/99 respectively) to work on --- the Workers should be able to reach from 85 to 90.

... but first, they have to get the Blessing of Alan Greenspan a few hours from now...

So Management did not set aside enough shares for a 2X Split this year... Maybe back in their minds, with so many Orders coming in, they are expecting the Bull Market could continue to the Next Century and do the Split when AMAT is at 120+

(Brian may be right when he said: --- "... I also hold shares on margin which I expect to sell in '00 hopfully at a price of 120-140." )
