The overall stock market is down. There is no way ARBA
can still have such a high valuation. Merrill Lynch report
said that they have a 12 month target of 140 when the
stock was at 120s, so the only way people can really
make money is having the stock price to go down more
and back up. They said they expect volatile price
movement.
Large revenue jump could not jump start the stock
price yesterday and continued the slide today. This
indicates the near term movement is downward. High
value IPO stock is in bad shape.

Ariba to Help MCI WorldCom Drive Down Operating Costs

SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Ariba, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARBA)
today announced that MCI WorldCom has signed a client agreement to use the
Ariba(R) business-to-business eCommerce solution.

MCI WorldCom expects to use the intranet- and Internet-based Ariba
solution to aggregate and direct company-wide operating resource spending
through the Ariba Network(TM) eCommerce service to preferred suppliers. This
approach lowers costs by leveraging the Internet to create economies of scale,
enabling the company to take advantage of volume discounts. The Ariba
solution will also lower costs by streamlining the acquisition process from
requisition to payment. MCI WorldCom will integrate the Ariba solution with
multiple, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and human resources management
system (HRMS) applications.

"As a global leader in telecommunications, MCI WorldCom is a pacesetter
for the strategic use of business-to-business eCommerce," said Dave Rome, vice
president of marketing at Ariba. "We are pleased to see that companies like
MCI WorldCom, along with our existing telecommunications clients, are turning
to Ariba to help build their business-to-business eCommerce infrastructures."
