cnbc sez that blodgett has lowered estimates for '99 from -1.75 to -2.00.

Splits won't keep saving this pig!

Seems to me the stock splits are more a form of earnings (I use the term loosely) management.

Still believe the split announcement was a very big mistake on AMZN's part

Well, the split is used to keep a floor on the stock price before the next report. Amzn is still one of the major net players, split creates excitement, volatility, and will keep the stock from a 50% drop from here during the slow summer.
