JAPAN'S JUN PRELIM COPPER, ALUMINUM, GOLD IMPORTS UP ON YEAR Tokyo--Jul 22--Japan's customs-cleared imports of non-monetary gold jumped 108.4% on year in June to a preliminary 9.5 tonnes, the Ministry of Finance announced today. Imports of copper and its alloys rose by 23.2% on year in June to a preliminary 26,673 tonnes, while imports of aluminum and its alloys rose 11.3% to 237,346 tonnes, the ministry said. (Story .2207)
