Japan FTC investigates Toyota phone unit IDO

TOKYO, July 22 (Reuters) - Japan's Fair Trade Commission (FTC) said on Thursday it had conducted an investigation of IDO Corp, at unlisted
cellular phone subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corp <7203.T>.
The FTC visited 27 locations early on Thursday, including IDO's headquarters and branches, on suspicion IDO had pressured retailers not to offer
discounts on its cdmaOne cell phones, an FTC spokesman said.
That would constitute a violation of Japan's anti-monopoly law, he said.
IDO sells phones with the cdmaOne format in eastern and central Japan, including Tokyo.
The phones were launched on April 14, and 215,200 were sold by the end of June, a company spokeswoman said.

Toyota holds a 62.8 percent stake in IDO.

Still...who's selling? Anyone who wants to sell, wouldn't they wait until the price gets up past the secondary offering price? I don't get it. There's got to be more to the answer. Are we sure all funds are at 156.50-----? Maybe there rae some better deals aroudn. Jill
