Well, since there isn't anything new, there is still no response to this:

Russell Godwin, IR for Medinah Mining (MDHM), filed insider trading reports and press releases while at his old company, V.MXR (now V.MVI), stating he had acquired a large position in the company while the subsequently modified and refiled trading reports indicate he was in fact selling what was left of his stake at that exact time. No explanation yet from Russell.

A chronology from the public record, all from 1997:

Feb.26 Acquires 750k shares (approx. 10%) of MXR
Feb.26 Unacquires 750k shares of MXR (No typo, same day!)

[Insert price spike on mining rumors. IR for MXR is none other than RGM]

Mar.13 Sells 128,500 shares of MXR
Mar.14 Sells 11,500 shares of MXR
Mar.14 Releases a PR stating he has acquired 10% of MXR. Again, no typo, same day as the inside sell.
Mar.17 Sells 32,500 shares of MXR
Mar.18 Sells 25,000 shares of MXR
Mar.19 Sells 4,000 shares of MXR
Mar.20 Sells his last 8,500 shares of MXR while the SI thread is still buzzing about how lucky they are that the president owns a 10% stake.

[skip forward to 1999]

May.26 MXR becomes MVI and undergoes a 7:1 reverse-split

This is all from public records.
