>>>BTW -- Gary's still pretty short on numbers, but now he's comparing the Paytrust threat to CF as the potential Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire...<<<

Well, at least he didn't go biblical on us this time. The guys entitled to his view point, but this continual attack on the Checkfree name with every disertation is a too much. Makes me wonder what Checkfree ever did to Gary to get on his bad side. You really sense that it's personal with him.

I agree LONGONDELL, the movie got weird...have to have a certain sense of humor to stay with it (probably explains why I liked it..)
I'm close to having a "mini-me" of my own...the wife's due date was two days ago. We even did the peperoni pizza thing on the 20th, but it didn't work. I kinda think she wants the little guy out NOWWW :)

Crafty gets crazier and crazier! How in the heck he interprets this alternative as being satisfactory to either consumers or billers is beyoned comprehension. And, if they ACH all debits, they are going to have to do it well in advance of providing the credits (paper checks with stubs), or they'll get eaten alive with NSFs. This spells signifigant payment delays...and how do they handle the NSFs? If in fact they are not even attempting to "electronify" the bill and the payment they are doomed!

Gary brags: Paytrust delivers the original remittance stub back to the biller along with a check.

Hmmmm.....Paytrust cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$?

Stamp: .33 cents
Check: .05 cents (if they buy in bulk)
Check printing: .05 cents (systems, etc.)
Envelope: .02? (or do they save all the different size ones they get from billers?)
Handling of remittance stubs: .05 (do they fill out the stub with the amount? - what a nightmare)

So that is .50 cents just for payment, how much does it cost to open the bills manually, scan them and put them on the web? (.20 cents?)

So a conservative estimate is .70 cents per bill cost, even though, I know it's costing them more (marketing, buildings, etc.). And they allow clients to pay up to 25 bills, so potentially they client could cost them up to $17.50 per month, but they only get revenues of $7.95 per month.

Gary? Hello? Paytrust has only been in production 3 weeks.
