More others...

(dang - just missed my 15 minute window...)

Other notable exits from CDMA system chips include LG, SONY and Rockwell Semiconductor Systems. (RSS, of course, morphed into CNXT, who are still a big player in PA's).

W.

Thanks for the competitors list... can anyone refresh my memory from last year, how does Q benefit more, from royalties generated from other vendors ASIC sales, or from selling their own. My first impression would be from their own, but I seem to recall arguments to the other side, having to do with the cost and effort of fabrication, logistics, and sales, versus calling your bank to see if the other vendor's check bounced.

Oh, and thanks to Ramsey for the new thread... I was really getting burnt out on the short-termed mindset that has set in on the "original". Maybe if we keep this up we can get Gregg to come back and post every now and then.
