OT GV, I had an interesting discussion with the VP of HR of one of these new e-commerce companies. I asked him about operating cash flow, but all he could talk about was the diffusion of technology. I pointed out that companies like AMZN stayed afloat only because of the differential in timing of cash flow from customers to suppliers (about 60 days), and all he would talk about was "new paradigms". I pointed out that his compensation was dependent on stock options, which, in turn was dependent on the lofty price of the stock, and he said "isn't it great!". It was as if we were talking two different languages. Makes you wonder .... TTFN, CTC
