From MTI's earnings PR (re: FC):

Business Trends

"We are very pleased with our first quarter results, particularly with
initial sales and customer acceptance of our new flagship RAID array, the
Gladiator 6700," said Earl Pearlman, MTI president and chief executive
officer.

"From a revenue standpoint, the 6700 was the most successful RAID product
launch in the Company's history. The positive impact extends beyond overall
revenue and margin, as this product substantially extends the Company's
ability to take advantage of the growing fibre channel storage market. During
the first quarter the mix of fibre channel-based revenue increased to over 36%
of total product revenue and to over 50% in terms of core product revenue.

"As the second quarter and the remainder of the year progresses, we plan
to continue to evolve the Gladiator 6700 line, including the addition of
faster processors, switch fabric support, and NFS support. Beginning in the
second quarter the Company will introduce what it calls 'super models'. Each
super model is a pre-configured information server centered around a Gladiator
6700 combined with the Company's fibre channel networking technology providing
a complete SAN storage infrastructure that can be connected to various
application servers.

"In addition, during the first quarter the Company began shipments of its
first RAID application software products, DataSentry and DataShield.

"We are also very excited about the progress we are making on our
next-generation product, the Gladiator 8700. Development and testing is well
underway and the product is anticipated to ship near the end of this fiscal
year.
