All I know is that here in San Francisco, the OpenNet advertising has been brutal. Seems like there are 3 for every ATHM ad, but it may just be my luck in listening at the wrong time.

The OpenNet ads don't even mention ATHM - just things like "don't let the ATT-TCI monopoly raise your internet access rates! Call City Hall!!!" Makes it sound like they are talking about dial-up instead of a service that does not even exist here yet.

My guess is that this will spill over into the elections later this fall. Maybe even a future referendum. Just what we need. Any idea how the ad spending will impact ATHM's bottom line?

These are not exact quotes - just impressions based on listening to 2 ads on my way to work this morning.

This is a good one, and I urge everybody print it and read it over and over again.
