Couldn't agree with you more on the enormous, growing potential of the upgrade market. Look at the brief history of PCs and laptops, as their prices come down while quality goes up. Once hooked on a useful instrument, it is simply human nature to want a newer, better model. Have not the automobile and TV industries proven this? At the lower end, hand calculators have long since become giveaways.
