An index refers to a benchmark comprised of a group of stocks on a specific exchange or group of exchanges. It would be difficult to group together shares of companies that trade on separate exchanges b/c this would truly become quite complicated. The currency, time the markets are open, and several other factors would prohibit any of the indices from doing this. Perhaps you should try a "Global" fund. Generally, these are sector specific, although you can find diversified global equity funds as well. Best of luck.
