Right. If MS IM doesn't accept ads--which I cannot confirm--how is this a threat to AOL ad revenue. It means there's no competitive service on which advertisers can advertise.

Further, MS has always been late to the internet party, and this is no exception. The only successful internet thing MS has done is create a great browser. There MSN network has been plagued with technical and managerial problems in the past. I know people that work at MS that won't use MSN because of sporadic problems delivering email. This is no threat to AOL.

BTW, I read it is compatible with AOL IM.
