Spud, I ain't no Johnny-comes-lately when it comes to wireless issues. Made out fabulously with AirTouch earlier, but got out when it merged with Vodafone. My portfolio has been shifted from PC-centric to wireless communications for the next couple of years, both to avoid any y2k hassles and to leg on the highest growth segments of the market. As to the general caliber of brokers - no comment. My NY brokers are mostly well versed in issues like big money centers, oils, consumer staples, but quite ignorant about cutting edge technologies.
