Consumer goods, China can produce a lot themselves, although still need to import some parts. Like DVD player, the price in China is about one third here, and very good quality. And a lot of them are in the warehouse. When Chinese can produce something, there will be a flood of that thing. But cell phone China imports a lot, I mean millions.

BTW, the US gov., while banning cigarette smoking in more and more places in the US, pressured China to buy more of its cigarette. Sadly. Of course, China refused.

Also, for the best interest of China, China will have to ask for some technology transfer along with the assembly line those multi-national companies want to set up in China, for example Boeing.

I think one thing China want to buy and the US does not sell is the super computer. China want a couple for weather reporting system.

And also, please do not forget the US, after all, is not the only country on this planet which has high-tech, European countries and Russia also have a lot of high-tech products, and they are willing to sell. I guess they are not that paranoia like the US (no offense). So in a lot of cases, the US only ends up losing business, it cannot block China from a lot of high-tech products.
