and now back to our story..
ragingbull.com

and from TMF:
A recent article in "GIG" magazine, stated that
MP3.com has teamed up with ASCAP. Supposedly ASCAP is
licensing more than four million copyrighted works of ASCAP's
85,00 members.
There is also to be an interactive ASCAP
"RADIO CHANNEL" on the web site. It will also
have a spot for local artists to become affiliated
with ASCAP. ASCAP should mean big artists.

A company called "AudioRequest" is being
touted as the first home stereo component that
will play MP3 files, recording them from CD or
any other format, including FM broadcast and
turntables.
Users will be able to store up to 150 hours of
music in the player and set up playlist. Price-
approx. $599. Due out around Christmas.
Also, Tompson Consumer Electronics and RCA
and announced the Lyra, a super small portable that can hold up
to 345 MB(5hours) MP3 files.
