No, it was 1992. There never were any fish in the lake. He stayed on a few years and did odd jobs and worked at the coal docks before traveling on down the road.

Some of the stories from the past years of that paper were something. Lots of articles from the late 1800s. Jilted women, men killed in gunfights over a card game, runaway horses, snakebites. They also ran articles from the 20s and 30s when the mobsters used to visit for a weekend of hunting and gambling. During the depression those guys would drop a grand on a three day trip. They also built a rail spur so the gangsters could ship ducks back to Chicago. To people who were living on beans a pair of dressed ducks bought a lot of good will.
