He also lowered his earnings estimate for 2000 to 64 cents from 68 cents, and for 1999 to 28 cents a share from 48 cents. ''We gave guidance to curtail analysts who were on the high end of the range on revenue or earnings,'' said company spokesman Brent Anderson. The average estimate for 2000 from analysts polled by First Call is 68 cents a share. A 4 cent estimate cut and a 7 million revenue cut for next year and the stock down 24%? Overreaction? piper maintained their strong buy.

Now vrio has announced a 2 for 1 stock split. Why would they do this ahead of earnings?
