> We need to elect political leadership who have a little integrity and not after our pocketbooks<

A good post with fine thoughts.Having said that,I'm not sure that political and integrity can be used in the same sentence.I believe they are a contradiction in terms.

<<...central bank would act "promptly and forcefully"....>>

We know that. I would say that investors should wise up by now. I would dare him to raise it against the grain of the science of economics. Nobody is preventing him from raising it. Economists are baffled by the rate of growth of economic prosperity without any inflationary pressures.

Well we will not get any inflation until those boomers retire. I am also tired of the lies being told by all the polotitians and other on these ig leadership boards. I wish someone would step forward and tell the truth.
The truth is we have a 1 trillion dollar debt and social security will be 60 of our taxes in 2020 and that this surplus is not a surplus it is social security earnings and we are spending it. It is to bad that the stock market is manipulated like this by one or two people. It is bad really bad. Listen when the bear market comes calling about 2008 or so it will be really bad, I mean really really bad.

AOL will move back up soon enough and we should hit the 200 mark by the end of the year. I just hope we don't need to wait this long. Every other stock I own including the techs have hit new highs. But AOL is still down. Although I was in at split adjusted 26-33.
