Vendit, I'm a little leery of posting in this context, even though it's at least one note removed from Can Do Stocks 2's silent song, it's close enough to have its content compared.<g>

Maybe that's as it should be for another opinion piece.<g>

All this press-inspired (IMHO) bathos seems a bit much to this observer...this was a guy, JFK2, who had the arrogance, or stupidity, or both, to load himself and his passengers into a plane which he apparently wasn't qualified to fly. Were it anyone else but him, people would be saying that his demise was an example of Darwinian theory at work.

I watched John-John salute his father's cortege at the appropriate moment, after his mother nudged him...kinda like, "you know what we rehearsed - now-now." A staged media event, but obviously exceedingly effective - IMHO, the most effective thing the man ever did. I'm not slamming the guy, just trying to put a little perspective into viewing him.

And this note is from a guy who voted for JFK, but probably (like many others) would not have voted to re-elect him. The myth of JFK is exactly that...a myth. One that's been promulgated and maintained by the PRESS and his family.
