Did you actually thing they could go up against Nintendo and win? That's funny, SONY did and kicks butt. It's taken Sega years to claw back with Dreamcast and Sony is ready to steal their thunder with the new Playstation. Nintendo still has crappy technology and manages to maintain huge market share. It can be done. THDO is no SNY, their pockets are not nearly as deep. I don't believe THDO has ever had a category killer game. The cycle of PC games is roughly six months, your game has six months to sell big or it gets relegated to the $3.99 bin. Designing software is not cheap, yes there are huge risks involved. I do like them going after the console game market, I think that's smart. I am over the fact that THDO failed as a hardware company, I just think it's taken waaaaay too long to get the wheels rolling on their software business. What's one of the top 5 PC games ? Deer Hunter, the crappiest game in the world, yet it sells huge. Why ? Who knows. THDO needs big sale titles to make a name. How many First Person Shooter games are out there ? DOOM, Quake, Unreal, DOOMII,DOOMIII..... There is room for many players. My nephew wanted Army Men for his birthday, I was psyched to see a popular game by THDO! They can do it. I think they are holding back many games for the big holiday season. I don't feel the ifs and ands are really all that big. It's too bad Wall Street doesn't agree with you on this one. WS hates unknowns. THDO has not proven they are a top tier player in the gaming software arena. ERTS is top tier. My attitude is subject to change based on the real live numbers THDO releases. I do like THDO, I like a turnaround, This one is taking a bit long for my tastes.
