Mephisto give me 125 billion and I will have over 200 million subscribers with free ADSL access easy for $20 a pop they will all leave AOL for my ADSL line installed in their home. With $55 billion I would build a much better and diverse business than SUNW, actually an IBM or HWP equivalent. As to EMC their are a scrapy disk manufacturer, for their 65 billion I can hire the most talented team from any corporation and run EMC to the ground. That is my point. Market value surpasses replacement value many times. As to your question in the second post - yes the market will recover some and then continue it's slide by August the latest wen people will realise that Japan is still a basket case South America has not solved their problems and the economy in general will slow down a bit.
