Ron:I read your post upside-down, had it decrypted, analyzed by teams of linguists, Egyptologists, sematicists, Bible scholars, ufologists, psychologists, psychics, logicians, then subjected to tests for hidden words, variant meanings, obscure reasoning modalities, intercultural deviations,then translated into Chinese, Hindu, and German and re-translated back into English, divined by leading experts, blessed by ministers, dahvaned over by a rabbi, placed on a statue of Buddah, placed under a magical pyramid, touched by a healing crystal,the words verbalized out loud by Navajo 'talkers' then had a committee of leading British scholars debating its content, and in the end, all of us could only collectively throw up our hands, sigh, and scream in frustration, "WHAT THE DAMN HELL IS HE TRYING TO SAY!"

Ron- I can't understand why there is such crazy quarelling over Y2K .... why not serious discussion of reasonable thoughtful preparation ? The other thing is I believe many of those who are concerned are so overwhelmed by the possible enormous consequences and are acting like deer froze in the headlights and doing nothing- thinking everyone will be in the same boat. Well I may be in the boat but I plan on taking along my own life jacket in case the gov't is slow providing one ! Personally if everyone just took modest preparation as we have I would worry less about panic. As it is with the vast majority seemingly bent on blindly following the "gov't would warn us and/or will take care of us if it happens" nonsense we are more likely to have difficulty overcoming a medium bug bite than if more people took it serious.
