I think this is one of the main reasons why most investors underperform the indexes -- an index fund would have mercilessly purged a loser like SGI, whereas individual investors hang on to it, because they think they are knowledgeable about the company or the technology or the management etc. etc.

Of course, some people hang on in the hope of breaking even! A couple more investments like this and they will underperform the indexes too! ;-)

Well... looks like it's happening again... And not long from now, we will be back "home" -- in the "comfort" of "lucky 13", which is where SGI has been for the better part of the last 3 years!

Also expect to hear some "bad news" from the company anytime now -- so that those who shorted it (again) at 17 and change, will get to cover it (again) at 12 and change.

Somebody please help!! We are caught in a time warp here!!
