bargainman,

The only choices that will garner any votes are democratic spending or republican tax cuts. Preferably I would spend it as Greenspan suggests. That is not reality and given the dem's propensity to pony up to some social unjust by throwing our tax dollars at it in exchange for votes I would rather KEEP MY MONEY.

OT bargainman,

I agree with a lot of what you said but I differ on the part about educating the Republican majority on basic economics. As I have read it the Republicans were offering a larger tax cut than the Democrats.

Also Alan Greenspan was those who don't remember was nominated to his office by Ronald Reagan, a Republican, and took office on June 20, 1996. In spite of Clinton, Greenspan has kept this economy on track.
