ot-- Sprint PCS , it expects to add more than 3 million customers in 1999. Growth in the third quarter should be
stronger than the 617,000 customers it added in the second quarter.

Churn, or customer turnover, should be in the ''low 3 percent range'' by the end of the year and average monthly revenues per subscriber should remain near the $54
level seen in the second quarter.

Sprint PCS capital spending for 1999 and 2000 should be about $4.5 billion, which will allow it handle about 9 million customers.

The company said it remains on track to reduce by 20 percent its costs to acquire wireless customers customers.
