pompsander: As far as I see it, the rate limiting factor in RDRAM in not production problems at FAB's but test of RDRAM chips and RIMM modules. The days of shipping untested,non-functional computers went out with Osborne1. There are far too few testing equipment out there for volume production of RIMM modules. I read that last FRI news article from eetimes I think which I posted here. With the price differential between SDRAM and RDRAM, I have to see performance values on RDRAM before committing my money in mass into RMBS. We will have that information by AUG 30 during IDF but if AUG option expiration is like MAY JUN or JULY we have our answer a couple of days earlier.
