George you are DEFINITELY asking the wrong guy..My assets went from $120,000 to about $20,000 because I DID try and time the market...the only reason I'm doing it now is because I'm trying to regain some of my losses...but it's always a bigger gamble than just investing in a good company and waiting longterm for growth...The MSFT trade was a no brainer for me though...when it dropped as low as $78 recently, I knew it was a strong buy signal, and as soon as it got close to $100, I knew it was a sell signal...for the time being anyway...AOL is a much different story, I'm in long at $171, and while I plan on staying long AOL, I also want to trade some of it...but I won't be touching any of my AOL holdings until it reaches at least $200...then I won't feel so bad in selling some, and trading with it...but overall, this company is so strong, that if I were you I wouldn't risk timing it...I expect to see $500 a share by 2001...so hang tight and you'll be justly rewarded IMO.
