If things are that bad, we'll pack up and move back out west and hang out with my parents until things restabilize. what a enviable contingency plan! i just knew he had to have one. just think: one married son accustomed to D.C. government doles coming back home, without any water or food to father's house until the millenium blows over, or he dies of old age first. won't he/they be a welcome sight? and to think his name is legion because every family i know who really has a grasp on how broken humpty dumpty american society is, is doing like c.k.houston is modeling and i am modeling and several friends of mine are modeling: we are each talking until we are blue in the face about the need to prepare to their loved ones. they are also planning on pulling out another blanket, adding more water to the woodfired stove soup kettle, and peeling one more skinny potato, in their efforts to provide shelter, food and clothing. this whole y2k thing is okay if one is a mormon, or already a farmer, i guess. or if one already has their house paid for, their front doors wedged, and lives on the third floor of a walk-up so that they don't have to worry about anyone crawling through their windows. do you suppose the biggest ridiculers amongst us on this thread are the biggest babies of all when it comes to how to survive when the going gets tough? Go back home, if bonding in FEMA shelters doesn't work, and let mom and dad raise you again, winding you up, kissing the booboos. where in the world is the model that the children should be taking care of the parents in their senior years, let alone during y2k emergency. isn't raising us once enough? how sad, how very very sad.
