Folks,

Having been a diehard, and yes, sometimes long suffering fan of CTXS for some years (including pre-Jan '97 Microsoft licensing snafu), I can say with some authority that there is a raw, unrefined charm to this stock.

They sell a pretty advanced product, in many ways the 'Holy Grail' of what advanced client/server computing ought to be, and are pretty savvy in terms of looking out to extend their vertical as well as horizontal reach of Metaframe and ICA. They were the only company at that time to finally call the bluff on "we'll-pull-the-NT-cross-licence-plug-on-you" threat. Yes, I'm sure Mr. Iacobucci and his team could write a few chapters on how they so elegantly managed to pull CTXS out of Microsoft's big, bad jaws..

Once others saw the opportunity for thin client computing, they tried to get in on the act, including the likes of Oracle. Few have succeeded in this complex, and yes, difficult endeavour. In this regard, Mr. Iacobucci seems to have the 'vision thing' all mapped in his mind already, and seems to on outsider like me, so ably gifted to execute to it. And remember, he also keeps good friends with IBM, his previous employer of many years...and yes, he no longer has any hard feelings of the current sad fate of OS/2.

Few have these unique qualities, and I congratulate him and his inner team for it. And with this quarter's results, I believe they've added another feather in their caps: cooking jar accounting, turned into a 'black art' at Microsoft over the previous 6 years.

May Mr. I keep confounding the 'average' analysts on CTXS best kept secrets, as this is why the more savvy of us can continue to feed this long enduring charm. I'll take a 50% average annual stock appreciation anytime...yes, even with the bumps along the way.

(In short, do not be disheartened by the conference call's confounding statements, and management's poor job of explaining their business and financial results, I'd wager that they are in fact a leading indicator, IMHO, of better things to come...:)

Good luck to everyone who's for the long haul on this thread.
