Paul Volker. Oh pleeeeeease, give me a break. I remember the demise of the dollar when they had a G7 meeting in the eighties. The 1987 crash was 2 months before A.Greenspan was named FED CHAIRMAN.

I will post an article about his qualifications and then a very long article, even if dated some, that is NOT very kind to him. I am posting the latter because this is the one thing I don't like about A.Greenspan. He is a fanatic when it comes to inflation and acts too swiftly when it comes to tightening. I did not go along with his last 2 rate hikes. I did NOT see the need. But then again, who am I? gg. And we all know, and as this article brings out again, he did cost Bush his re-election. The economy was on its way to recovery but got hindered by tight money.

First the article from 95 before Greenspan was married for the second time.

I will add the other article in a minute. I think I will have plenty of time. gg.

PS. Lucky for everyone. I can't find the article I wanted to post about his qualifications etc. Here is a small substitute.

Stephen. Correction. A. Greenspan was named FED CHAIRMAN 2 months before the crash not after. But we still can't call this on his watch.

Sonny

When I read that first article I posted it reminded me on this big discussion on the main Intel thread about diet and then Ayn Rand. gg.
