That all will start within a couple of months and in some cases has already started. That it seems to me is one reason for stocks to increase in value.

I agree that demand for tech products could increase after the millenium, maybe. And maybe like you said, there could be a surge in the 3rd quarter. It's just hard to know. OTOH there may be a coming lull of tech equipment purchasing, as companies have spent a lot to get y2k compliant. That's a popular route, just buy new equipment (if needed) & the latest software.

In any event, if your holding period is through the end of the year, a short-term event like AG speaking shouldn't matter. Stocks, as has been said over and over, don't go up in a straight line forever (although with the run MSFT had from 77 to 100, with only one week's pause, I was beginning to wonder :-))
