I would say it will trade in a range between 80 and 90 in the futures market.

The big Yen downward trend which started in 1994 ended last summer, with a falling US interest rate during that time. The rise of Yen this time has a lot to do with Nikkei's rise. I am not sure if its recent rebound can hold due to its short-memory in that market. i.e., it can fall back very quickly, especially when we approach to year 2000. Regarding to y2k problem, this country is ready, but it may not be the case for others. This could trigger another around crisis. Remember last summer's crisis started from Thailand.
