You and others think movies is all that video is about. The vast majority of video is TV series and documentaries, and many people want to own copies of these. I'd love a digital collection of Star Trek or Time Tunnel series, fully indexed of course.

I too have very few movies that I care to see or see again ... making even VOD a questionable proposition in our household. After a week we likely would have watched our fill. Even if VOD was completely free, I doubt it would make us watch more after we had our "fill."

How many times have you found nothing worth renting at Blockbuster ??? We many times have just given up on the idea and went home to play a board game, which usually is a nicer evening all around for the family anyways.

We all can relate to what your saying. Even purchased videos only get played a few times and then become just one of the videos in a person's collection, like LPs and CDs.

Hope the market moves forward today ...

All that says is that you are not a connoisseur of good movies or books. Says nothing about the market.
I just read a quote by C S Lewis last night where he said he could not understand a person who read a great book only once. I have watched many great films several times... each time appreciating it more deeply. I dislike films that have so little depth they can only bear up under one viewing....
So, that just shows you we have more than one kind of person in the market for films...
This is not meant to be a put down of your "style" because I have a good friend who is reading all the world's classics and he won't read one twice till he has read them all once.
