OT Anyone notice Intuit down $14+ the last 4 days. I can't find any specific negative news....maybe it's working, or at least scaring investors!

re: Intuit charging for downloads;

it's more likely a tactic intended to drive its' customers to a bank offering, something C, CMB, and a number of other banks tried unsuccessfully a few years ago, when they said they wouldn't offer Quicken after Cook upped the price and required Quicken users to get their downloads from Intuit Services (now CKFR)rather than from the bank itself.

"Maybe, the Shadow knows!"
In a market place where:
(1) TransPoint announces they are the first at everything they are last at,
(2) the Exchange works on offering a service that they claim is unavailable in the market when it has been around for years,
(3) BillServe announces a registration for bills that's only pre-registration for offerings later this year (they borrowed the latter words from "TrashPoint")
Is it too much to ask for CKFR to publicize the truth, e.g. - AMEX is up and powered by Checkfree. Afraid of their own shadow or Lamont Cranston's?

Benny says: <<IMHO, and please correct me if you think I'm wrong. But Craft still thinks that Software can outmode CheckFree, he just doesn't get it.>> This reminds me of reading about AOL's Steve Case saying a similar thing about Microsoft's attempt to outdo AOL: I am paraphrasing: "Gates thinks it's about software. He just doesn't get it."!!! Beverly
