Why is this huge news? Pretty much a forgone conclusion after Eric bought out the infrastructure division. Knowing the vaporware situation, the purchase of chips to get up and running as fast as possible seems evident to me.

On the use of the billion, I do feel that management has plans for the money. They might not have had a specific requirement for exactly 1 billion, but they are smart enough to have a wish list and acted on that when they saw that the market was there. Good going team. Lets hope all those whinners stay on the other thread, Dr. J has taken me from the natural home in the 40s to the natural home in the 140s in a year, dont think I would complain about 4, 10 or 20% dilution. (ok, maybe 20%) The man has shown he is thinking ahead and acting correctly.

As for the funds, anyone know the current state of the Brazil factory? Might a couple bucks pick up the capacity there? How much of the US QPE capacity has the Q quitely taken over from Sony to date? One time cash payment for the rest? There are plenty of places to put a billion to work. As a matter of fact, I would not have to work very hard at putting another billion to work.
