The last sentence in my previous message was a bit off language-wise. This is what I meant to write:

Much of the promising business is still projected at the end of the year and beyond, which is a story that I have heard before from this company, although I am sure it is much more realistic at this point.

Synapsid,

Re: Personally, I think PC audio is a declining market and it is high time for Cirrus to loose dependence on PC audio sales.

What are your reasons for this opinion? I don't necessarily disagree with you but would like to see further discussion of this point since PC audio comprises 25+% of CRUS revenues. French did mention in the CC that CRUS is not nearly as dependent on the controller portion of the PC audio market as some of their competitors. In fact, I believe most of their controller revenues still come from ISA bus chips. PC audio as whole is surely not a declining market. French seemed to think that CRUS could do well outside the controller space (which Intel is almost sure to eventually dominate) in the analog and software portions of PC audio. Also, CRUS seems to be trying to use their PC audio market leadership to aggressively advance their professional and consumer audio lines. What do you think?

Regards,
G.P.
